Eye Pillows

Our eye pillows are made from 100% cotton, naturally dyed in-house using flowers, seeds, and vegetable powders. Each one is filled with Australian linseed, organic lavender, and chamomile flowers.

Fabric: We use 100% cotton, sourced unbleached, a blank canvas for natural dyeing. The process, from prepping the fabric through dyeing and final wash, takes up to two weeks. It's meticulous work, but the result is genuinely one-of-a-kind.

The Process: Fabric is sectioned and weighed, then washed with natural soap and soaked in a mordant, which allows the natural dye to bond and last. Once dried, the fabric is dyed, a process that can take several hours to reach the right depth of colour, then left to cure away from direct sunlight for two weeks, to prevent fading. It's washed once more, dried, and checked for any faded spots or uneven colour before moving to sewing and filling.

Inside: The primary fill is Australian linseed, a light grain that sits gently over the eyes without added weight. Organic dried lavender and chamomile are layered through it for a calming effect.

Benefits: Light pressure across the eyes signals the brain to slow down, easing tension from screen time and tired eyes. For a cooling effect, place the pillow in a muslin bag and freeze for 5 minutes.

Best tip: In winter, warm the pillow in the microwave for 5 seconds to bring out the scent.
